Who is Sophia?
With 15+ years of experience in higher education, publishing, editing, and writing, Sophia has a track record of publishing in high-ranking Scopus-indexed journals in the social sciences.
"Hi, I'm Sophia.
I don’t have a high h-index (yet). However, I help others conduct and write research in the social sciences as I also build my own portfolio as an early-career researcher.
I founded SDRC in Manila in 2024 after teaching and studying as a Global South scholar in the Philippines and the UK since 2011. After doing research as a commissioned country researcher in Asia, I realized that research engagement should be more equitable and accessible.

FAQs
What are the requirements to enter the program?
Ideally, it is mainly for researchers who have collected data and are working on their analysis, or those who have finished their PhD or Masters.
We will assess your individual thesis/dissertation or other research output on how it fits the program. We will recommend the next steps after a thorough evaluation.
Does the program guarantee that I will publish a paper?
No, as this decision will be made by the journal you are making a submission to. However, you should have a finished manuscript ready for submission if you attend all sessions and submit outputs and revisions on time.
Do I have to attend classes?
You will receive feedback on your output during the bimonthly synchronous Zoom sessions. You will need to attend all scheduled sessions and commit at least five hours per week outside of these sessions.
What is not included in this program?
We will not format or edit your paper and we will not submit the paper on your behalf. The program also does not include language editing or reference checking.
How long does it last?
You should be able to produce a submittable paper in two months, but this depends on whether you submit the outputs and revisions on time. Note that no further guidance will be provided beyond the time enrolled for.
When does it start?
The program is scheduled to start on the 20th of June 2026.
How much does it cost?
It is priced at USD 700, but if you apply before the 30th of May, 2026, you will get a 50% discount (You pay only USD 350).
